Pastor Elvira Kidd
Elvira Kidd is a native of Livingston, Alabama and currently resides in Bessemer, Alabama where she has lived since 1972. She is the Pastor and Founder of Visionary Ministry in Bessemer, Alabama where she ministers the love of Christ to people from a wide array of social and economical backgrounds. She has a sincere desire to shepherd God’s people and disciple them in the ways of obedience, simplicity of faith and personal holiness. She also has an intense passion to disciple children and youth.
Elvira received her spiritual birth over forty years ago. She answered the call to ministry 25 years ago, and has given her life to God that He may use her for His Glory. She is likened unto the Apostle Paul and has become all things to all men that she might win some.
She is the founder of IPEC, (Influencing to Provoke Empowerment for Change) a non-profit community organization. The mission of IPEC is “provoking positive change one life at a time”. Under her direction and insight, IPEC is becoming a very viable resource to the local community and county residents.
Elvira earned a Secretary Degree in Legal Secretary from Southern Jr. College in 1973; a AA Degree in Business from Lawson State Community College in 1985; and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Information from UAB, Birmingham in 1987. During her collegiate career she was considered for Who’s Who among College Students.
Elvira is currently employed at UAB where she process third party patient accounts. She is the proud mother of two children and four grandchildren and the spiritual mother of many around the country.
Elder Phyllis Campbell
A native of Bessemer, she finished Abrams High School, just a few years ago. She is presently employed for the Bessemer City Schools as Federal Programs accounting secretary. She has been a faithful employee of the school system for the past 38 years.
She is an intercessor with the City Prayer Breakfast Group at Bessemer Chamber of Commerce every first Wednesday, and Ruah Prayer Group every Saturday. She is a member of Liberty Ministry where Dennis Brickie is pastor.
Her positions in the church include Elder, Teacher, and SWAT Leader (Singles With a Testimony). A woman of courage because of her devoted relationship with God and actual and costly experiences.
